Griffons

Griffon (and Breza)

Griffons are winged creatures who bear the forequarters of an eagle, and the hindquarters of a lion. Carnivorous, Griffons have a preference to nest in mountainous regions.

It is possible to domesticate them, but only the Amazons seem to have done so. This gives the Amazons an aerial force which they can use to quickly traverse their lands.
